We are sitting here admiring your helmets Dave!  ;)
I thought you were playing heavier bats mate? Have you gone lighter again?

just my two cents on the top of the line Masuri VS Shrey helmets, I've tried both now and I came down very heavily on the side of Shrey which surprised me. The Masuri is an absolute nightmare, can't believe anyone would wear one unless they'd lost their motorcycle helmet and needed a substitute for the ride home. It weighs a ton, the padding wasn't all that great and I felt completely claustrophobic in the thing. God knows how anyone plays an innings wearing it! Conversely the Shrey was light as a feather, fitted more comfortably, I thought the padding was great, and I actually think the field of vision is better than with the Masuri, and yes I did spend ages trying to get the Masuri set up as best I could but I just hated it, genuinely couldn't wait to get it off. I never expected to have such a strong reaction I thought it would be a close run thing and personally for me the Shrey was way out in front. Masuri may have superior manufacturing methods, better materials, be UK made, better quality control etc... but its all about the end product and I wouldn't buy one in a million years. The Shrey just felt much closer to my Ayrtek which i have used for four seasons now. But then having said all that my mate has just bought a Vision Elite TI after we tested the two and he loved it, go figure.

On the weight aspect, I was a bit critical of Masuri too. But after having used it for weeks now, I sort of like it. May be the heavy helmet is helping me keep my head still .. Who knows !!

Barring weight but I came across a Shrey and held it, was extremely surprised on the fact how appalling it was.

To me it seemed like poor quality and cheaply built. Older Masuri's were far superior to that.

I am talking of Shrey Air, perhaps it was one I came across but that's my observation.
