ProT20 Bats review
« on: February 13, 2016, 02:16:10 AM »

Hi Guys, i was looking for a birthday gift for my brother and came across ProT20 display stall at one of our League games here in Southern California. After discussing about specs & prices with Mr.Khan (owner) he gave me deal on these 2 bats. One of these will be going to a teammate & the other to my brother so i just want to share my thoughts regarding Ping, pickup & looks.

According to the seller ProT20 these are handmade in England by a renowned company (he didn't disclose the name). Both bats have low sweet spot with full profiles.
Here are the specs

Player Edition
Grade 1
Weight: 2-9
Pickup feel: 2-8
Edge: approx 38mm
Spine: 63mm
Profile: Full
Handle: Round
Sweet spot: Mid-Low
Grains:8
Size: Standard SH

Grade 2 (101 sixer)
Weight: 2-9
Pickup feel: 2-9
Edge: approx 38mm
Spine: 63mm
Profile: Full
Handle: Round
Sweet spot: Mid-Low
Grains:7
Size: Standard SH

The ping on both is fantastic with a deep sound. The bat covers are also of really good quality specially the coffin style cover for Player Edition bat. I will add more details once my teammate start using it after knocking in.

My only concern are the stickers as i am not a big fan of too many stickers covering the bats but these are gifts so i dont't care much :-). But overall a very good value considering free high quality bat covers.

Here are few pics of Player Edition bat.

Now Grade 2 bat.

Both bats with covers.

For the design & amount of stickers, profile & the prices - unlikely they are made in England mate.
You'll know for sure once the rest of the forumites wake up.
Great bats though. Perfect for the low bouncy pitches in the US

It's quite possible. Hammer cricket bats are made in England but its a white label brand. They just buy custom profiled bats in bulk and label them as Hammer. Pro T20 brand could be doing the same thing here ...

The coffin bag is definitely made in india or pakistan ...

Thats what seller told me that bats are UK made not sure abt the stickers and cover. I went for shape and pickup also if it breaks i can take it back to him locally and dont have to deal with shipping costs.

@jd163 - Having a local guy is definitely an advantage. For the price if he is offering warranty and replacements, then its an excellent price.

Like the looks of the Players Edition. A whole sticker on the back of a bat for that grade 2 though, not good aesthetics!!

Bats look good. I dont think it will matter where it is made. Till the time you like the pick up..looks of willow and performance... Alls good. Where in US do you play @jd163

Based on some minor hints looking at these bats you can rest assured these are very good bats for the price you paid. Hope they score you loads of runs

The stickers though....

I totally agree that the design and placement of stickers are not the best. These are bought as gifts so the Pickup, ping & price mattered the most. Free bat covers and local warranty repairs makes it a better deal in my opinion.

@vishwas .. I play in Los Angeles area.

A while ago was asked to stock this brand in our shop in San Jose.
Remember being told by the owner that these were made in Pakistan...dunno if things have changed now.
