Making Stumps?
« on: March 31, 2016, 01:59:10 PM »

Hi all
Was cleaning out my garage and came across my wood turning lathe that I had forgotten
about and the thought crossed my mind to make some custom stumps to replace the old ones at my club.
My problem is what timber to use, I have done some research and English Ash seems to be the most common
material used but doesn't seem to be much it over here.
Would anyone know or have any ideas of a suitable timber to use in Australia?
                                                                                                                   Thanks

We have some stumps in stock that are made of Eucalyptus, you might be able to find some of that knocking about in Aus ;)
