A stumpers eye view of our nets.
« on: February 19, 2016, 06:15:12 AM »

So in search of a decent view with a go pro at the nets I strapped mine to our stumper to see what it looked like.

If only he kept still could be the best view yet..... Plus point I doubt the camera will get hit, especially with the low bounce of this hall.

Apologise that a few bits of bad langauge may be in there.

That quick looks decent (or is made to look decent by the batting). Don't see many vids from keepers perspective, great to see!!

Just watched the first two minutes, after that the batting was real decent!!

The quick nets with us as rest of his fm silly play at our, but he's actually a junior for another team as that's where all his school mates play.

He bowled really well and accurate that night, some of the batsman(me included) didn't cover us in glory that night.

Lew(batsman 4) was on top form as usually though, even @ProCricketer1982 might like some of his batting!!!!

I assume you have the GoPro attached to the keeper via a helmet mount? As mentioned in the other thread the tripod to the left does work albeit getting hit, but wondering if I can somehow tie it up/mount it to the back of the net itself; don't normally have any keepers at stumps at ours...

I have the helmet/head strap that wraps well around an old Masuri( @Simmy has a good way to attache to ayrteks)

I suppose rid there anything to attach to you could fit it here.
I've bought a clamp from b and q and drill holes to mount a flat base and then used a sticky pad, so can basically mount anywhere.

Some views of people if there interested.

Having a discussion, 2 lads reckon this is the perfect line to bowl to aggressive batsman, majority of us believe that they'd be getting called wide in our level of cricket??

Well we filmed the session so why not use the video to get a consensus?

Good line? Or risking to be called wide's?(obviously I've hit one but it's nets and I'd probably leave in a game)

3 in a row id be calling them wide, but if the batsman moved towards it rather than away it wouldnt be wide.

Stumper had the camera on again this wed, but lads wanted to see here entire net. So edited it into individual ones.

Playlist to said nets can be found here. If anyone's interested.

Negative bowling and I'd say that's wider than the wide line personally. A Yorka right on the wide guide line is perfect to a hitter though.. Cover rid man and backward point boundaries and they can do nothing. If they move towards it then you can go wider

Works for me and I know it works for @WalkingWicket37

So not sure how else to share.

Other than click any off the above links and click on my name to get to my profile and see all my vids. There's a lot.
