Net 3 - 2:37, think that was your best shot - personally. Good foot movement, good balance, good angle of the bat and a nice follow through.

Hi Wilkie,

Your set up is OK but a couple of things you could possibly think about...
- Your back swing is pointing (from what I can see from this angle) towards backward point, with a fairly open stance too, its going to make it very difficult to bring the bat down straight and hit through the V with any consistency/control unless you have hands like a god!
- Your heads first movement is always towards point (this could be down to counterbalancing the bat when you are trying to bring it down straight) again making it hard to hit the ball straight / mid-off/mid on/mid wicket. It could also be down to the fact that  (or be the cause of) your head is always slightly offside of your centre of gravity meaning it will naturally go that way, try straightening everything up and i'm sure you'll see improvements.

The shot at 0:43 on the video titled net4 illustrates what i mean about the bat not coming down straight.

A couple of ways to fix it is to  try and get your backswing aiming towards the keeper/1st slip - this should hopefully give your hands a little more room and enable you to bring the blade down straighter. It should also negate the tendency to move towards point at first instance.

If the switch still sees your head falling towards point, try having a step towards the bowler, im not saying run at him, but just a slight forward press to get your head moving forwards rather than sideways.

Its not a disaster at all, you hit the ball well, move your feet nicely and seem to pick up length quickly. Hopefully these couple of points will help?  Let me know how it goes. Good luck!
