this is a pic of a mates old mettle that was refurbed and since he knows the batmaker he got these stickers before general release, look on the county website and see if they have updated, there may be a pic of the profile on there

Thats because County and GN in are seperate companies in Aus, hence contrasting gear each season to the UK- whereas GM only have 1 set of products.

County used to be the bee's knee's in my youth and so many people used them in the top leagues, they were well made and the shapes were great. How sad that nearly every one I've seen in the last 5 years have been poor at best and the brand is dated and the quality seems to dip lower each year. I think it is sad that they are just buying more and more Indian made bats rather than try and turn it around and use the skills that Tony still must have. They seem to be content to rebrand rather than capture their former position.

Depends which way you look at it mate...

From my point of view tho I visited Hunts 2 months ago, met Tony and had one of the best experiences of my life having a custom made bat done for me. Tony is one of the nicest people I have ever met too.

He gave me all the 'low down' on when they import their bats from India and what they produce at the factory. They produce the majority of their goods in the factory with the lower end of the bats being done in India - which I can only imagine other companies do as well.

The fact that they offer the 'Bespoke' bat service to you at such a low price is phenomenal and would recommend everybody to Hunts.

Brilliant, I used to love county, never had a bad bat from them, and the Reflex return is very welcome, very retro! I think it would be a great idea to issue retro stickers like M&H do. the old stickers were excellent!

19reading87 how much did it cost for the bespoke bat service? Also how was the bat you got? Is there a review of it somewhere?

i don't think it's the old profile though - the old stickers were great. one of my first bats was a county turbo from a boot sale. i loved it, great stickers, even though it was a bit of an ugly old thing. have had a clipper and reflex made by martin berrill in gloucester. nice middles on the bats.
