Lms kit
« on: April 18, 2016, 06:51:39 PM »

Question
I know Lms is different as in type of ball and also playing on AstroTurf.
I'm wondering if people use the same kit as a Saturday Sunday or do people use
Different bats and such as,
Maybe go lighter, cheaper possibly.
I did use my ihsan bat last year.

Last year the balls were Kooks and the best they've had. Still not brilliant, but not terrible. I just used normal kit. Nothing special for it.

This is silly advice!

You need full new kit for LMS. You must have a few different sets of kit to preserve your match stuff for matches, net kit for nets and wet weather kit for when it's a bit damp.

Definitely need a different bat. Those astros are murder on the toes of bats, when it pour with rain and your still playing its like a sponge, and your bats toe gets soaked. Also the balls I feel are terrible, I would be looking for a cheaper butterfly bat, with 1/2 pound of shoe goo on the bottom of it. Definitely find that the butterfly works better with harder balls.

We just started LMS over here in Amsterdam - I may concur about the toe side of things as my Kookaburra bat got  damaged on the toe when used by two teams on a wet astro turf... but then only 6 grass turf wickets over here compared to over 45 clubs with astro pitches
