Ricky 'Pounting' is NO MORE!!!

Is this a butterfly (I'm not reall 100% sure what one is entirely) or just a knot?

It's a knot. And that looks like storm damage along the toe next to it. Apart from that, it doesn't look that bad. Probably very dry too. All in all, I wager it's not long for this life. If your old man scores a ton with it, it'll be worth it, though.

I really had to think long and hard whether or not to take them off,  was a toughy!!

I've just sanded the face with 60 grit paper at the moment, so it's far from done just yet!!

Was hoping for a hidden butterfly,  they seem all the rage at the moment!!  :D

Ah well we had some fun...or a serious note, do you expect or has the bat retained some ping? Or springiness.
I've got an old bat coming soon and about to do a little refurb. It could be dead of course I've taken the chance
Thanks...

By no means is it a players grade g1 gun but it's got some life in it still,  it scored a few 40s and 30s last year

To be honest I never expected it to be brilliant, I enjoy doing the refurbs and did if for a bit of fun.  Thought you guys would enjoy the chuckle as well!!

For anyone who even gives half a toss what this is coming along like

A few more grades of sanding to go, then, after someone mentioned storm damaged, I might sticker it up as a M&H and sell it for £250!!

My old man used it on Saturday, second top scored with 13 not out. We'll see how she goes :)
