Ayrtek Q and A
« on: December 29, 2009, 08:10:03 PM »

Just thought i'd set up one of these for us to ask any questions we may have about ayrtek (technology, custom designs etc etc etc) to see if Tom can have a crack at answering them. I've got a few to start off..

1. How does the pump mechanism work?? How is it inflated/deflated etc...

2. Can you have the ayrtek writing and initals in any colour on the helmet?

3. On the custom design helmets are the colours limited or can you have any you like?

Cheers :)

1. It has a small button like pump at the back of the helmet which you push and repeat until it inflates to your comfort. Next to the pump is a deflate button which deflates all the air in the helmet after use (naturally ;))
2. I think it's just white but I'm not 100% sure, maybe red too.
3. I believe you can have up too 3 colours as that's what it says on their website but again not 100%, but you can have "any colour on the spectrum" to quote Tom :)

If in doubt contact Tom ;)

I don't own a Masuri Ti but I've seen on another topic that the Ayrtek is considerably lighter and I can say it's very comfortable from my own experience

Joe has answered most of the Q's posed, the text on the rear of the helmet can be in any colour but we have white as the standard colour as it stands out well on all out stock coloured helmets. We also have red and blue which we had for some IPL samples we produced.

The helmets can be produced in any colour required beyond just the stock colours so the scope is there to modify them to whatever is desired.

Does anyone know the weight of an Ayrtek with Ti grill compared to a Masuri Ti?

Yeh we have the revised design grills turning up shortly so they should be lighter and closer to the masuri weight
