Great work checked out your facebook site, bats look good,
Just some advise take it or leave it, but your only starting out and your using a product that many people or unsure of (Aus Willow) your pricing needs to reflect that.

You can't expect to get same dollars as a known bat makers using English willow.

Great to see a young Aussie bat maker, I wish you great success.

You need to work out your material and time costs but peak is right, you will struggle to compete against english willow at these price points. Have you had much interest in Australian willow?

That sounds about right. Work out the cost of materials to produce a bat from scratch to completion. Add on your cost for making it. Too high and you won't sell any, too low and you have to sell more to make a bigger profit. You could be a great bat maker but if no one buys your bats no one will know. Good luck with your bat making and good luck working through the economics of a small business. Supply and demand!

Dont think many will give that away mate, is pretty easy to work out tho. Say your costs are $200 for the cleft and handle fitted, and you want to charge 450 for the bat. you have to work out whether the time it takes you to make the bat (unsure how long it takes you) is worth 250 on top of your costs. Say it takes you 8 hours to fully make it (unsure if you are shaping part mades or doing clefts and handles). 250/8 = 31is an hour.

Is hard as well with the Aussie Willow, i've seen a couple of clefts and they have performed really really well but didnt not look as pleasing.

Hope this helps at all mate

mate this is how I would look at, your only starting out, you need to be 1. making as many bats as possible it's like everything the more you make the better you'll get, you may even become great then you can charge like a wound bull.
2. get as many bats out there as possible people need to see these bats scoring runs. ( I maybe able to help you with this)
3.rather than trying to make a living out of selling 4?? bats a week try to make the same amount but with selling 8 ?? bats a week.

If you need some contacts with State Level players ( QLD underage) PM me, it may be worth your while having a few using your bats well, please keep in mind those players won't use any bat free or not if it's not a great stick
