Wasn't 100% sure where to put this but here it goes.

Vaughans aforementioned new company has arrived. Selling a kids starter kit featuring bag, bat, ball, gloves, pads, thigh pad & box for £79. Can't really fall off with that.

That does look like good value. Just need to buy or borrow a helmet.
I wish this venture well  - it is difficult enough getting children engaged, particularly after Kwik cricket. The cost of equipment for cricket is higher than for most sports. This can act as a barrier to some player involvement. Anything that can be done to remove some of the cost barriers to young players (and their parents) has to be welcomed.

Yeah.. this is really good. I appreciate to play cricket carries a cost and we all have different levels to which we can commit to the kit we want v the kit we need but as a parent myself i could see how even in tougher times knowing i can get a one stop shop for a reasonable price would be very attractive and should reduce the barriers for involvement that a lot of other sports don't suffer from.

In short if it helps more kids get into the game it has to be a good thing.

Love the idea... although Vaughan surely could have pulled some strings and got English willow bats not Kashmir?

I reckon i could just about match the pricing with a comparable set of gear. I assume the bat is Kashmir.

We tend not to stock the really basic entry level stuff, being a cricket specialist we aren't really in it to compete on razor thin margins with the likes of Sports Direct, which is the place i would expect to see a kitbag like this, so fair play to MV and Owzat for doing it.
