HELP
« on: July 04, 2016, 01:34:12 PM »

Hello,

Wanting to pick your brains on something;

We are developing our Custom bat buying experience/methodology online and I need to come up with a term that encompasses the shape of the bottom of the bat, e.g. Duck Bill / Tradition / Spne running through to the toe, I had originally called this toe type/ or toe shape but speaking to someone today, they thought this meant a flat toe or rounded toe.

Would welcome any suggestion on how best to define this

Many thanks in advance

Toe profile for Duck-Bill/whatever else

Toe shape for actual shape of the toe, rounded/flat.

Edit: @BigBlueMachine beat me to it

"lower-bat profile"
or
"lower-blade profile"?

Any mention of "toe" makes me imagine looking at the bat with the toe facing me and the actual surface of the bottom of the bat.

"Toe profile" e.g. Duck Bill
"Toe shape" e.g. Flat/ curved toe.

Just wondering when this new function would be up and running online?

Thanks

"Lower spine shape" (extended, blended, duck bill).

And then have a few words explaining what this means.

Considering your target market know what you mean by the toe of the bat, I wouldn't worry too much.

When thinking of a bat shape, you have handle, shoulder, middle, edges and toe.

But I do like the idea of lower spine shape, which could lead to the toe being rounded, square, angled.

Why don't you run a vote on here?

I think spine length is a good call and leaves the option of introducing toe type (square, round , standard, cracked 😜) later on. Will the custom bat model on the page change as this is selected? If so the option of spine length  is self-explanatitory

Given that spine is a well established descriptor i would probably keep on that theme, lower spine id pretty good, i personally prefer Toe profile or to throw some more in there how about Toe ridge or the apex of the toe?
