Just discovered our opponents for the 27th of August, have resigned from the league, due to actually being told they are to be expelled at the end of the season.


So I'm available and in a touch of form, so want to play, have bat and am willing to travel.

Travelling has never been an issue for me, Probably stop at 2hrs from Sheffield


I'd prefer if it was legit, I.e loan/registered/whatever your league asks, but if I have to play under someone else's name, so be it.

having played in the lower divs of this league and playing against stocksbridge i never really thought much of them and thought they were always pushing the but this was more one or two players at most!! cant say im surprised theyve backed up theyre own players always seemed like a close bunch of lads!

amazing this has happened though, i dont know about you but i always found it quite a pleasant league to play in minus a few exceptions but i suppose you get those anywhere

Never had issue, one or two get a tad serious during games but are fine in general, rest of league it's friendly and most get on with umps and each other etc. (I play for two different opposition sides from sat league in lms and indoor leagues)

It's a shame this happened, but glad the league have sorted it and hopefully for good.

V interesting. Football match some years ago I was headbutted unconscious by a player during a game. Reported it to the police,  obviously witnesses. They didn't want to know and the player got a three game ban for a straight red.

Unsurprisingly I'm all for that ban!

Chris - I could get you a game on Saturday but it would mean transfers, registration forms etc etc even though we play in different leagues so probably not worth it for one game.

I could get you a game on Sunday 28th though without any paperwork,

My league shuts it's transfer window tonight ok, so would be able to transfer back. Lol.
