2 modern classics
« on: October 14, 2016, 08:25:08 PM »

I've been on the lookout for a couple of bats over the past year. Bats which may only be 10 or 11 years old, but classics in their own rights. Bats which will be remembered, not necessarily for the right reasons.

I've managed so far to pick up these 2. Great bats, in even better condition. Enjoy:

Lovely bats.  Sold an unused MMI3 Custom a while back and have one of the Ricky Ponting Graphite back bats at home.  Are they pretty sought after these days?

I can't imagine there are too many of the Ricky Ponting's out there. They go for between £150-£200 on Ebay.

The MMi3 is more of a sentimental purchase!

Not sure if GN's dual side T20 bat will make it to the list but I guess you did pick the classics, and in even better condition.

The Kahuna Graphite is an amazing condition considering the age, and the white grip compliments it perfectly. I have been able to get one of eBay this week (a fibre glass model, 'Kahuna Warrior', not the full graphite) and I cannot wait to see it. There was a few of the Genesis graphite's floating around on eBay this week as well.

Brilliant photo's. The Kookaburra made me tearfully nostalgic. Thank you for bringing back great memories of trying to pull...the ball like Ricky Pointing.

Trying to pull like Ricky Pinting, and ??
..... getting caught at deep square leg or taking the ball on the helmet?
