GN advice
« on: August 26, 2016, 02:31:18 PM »

hi all, so like most of us on here I'm already planning next season's kit. I've been impressed with a few of the GN profiles this year so I'm hoping to snap up a end of season bargain, for next season. My question here is, which GN bats are UK made? If any. I'm guessing the lower end and five star downwards are made elsewhere? Thanks for the help in advance.

As I understand, only a small number of even the top end bats are made here - it's mainly just customs and pro bats that come out of Robertsbridge (although this could be wrong so don't take my word for it!)

Any bat potentially could be made at Robertsbridge. If there is a shortage of a certain model/grade mid season, they may well produce a quick run themselves rather than wait for their factory in India to make and send them.

Typically it is custom mades, samples, prototypes and professional players bats that are guaranteed to be made in the UK.

You can identify a UK made bat if you know what you are looking for, but you can't simply say 'right i've bought ''model x'' so this means it has been made in India/The UK''

GN run their own factory in India, they don't contract out other suppliers to produce their bats like some brands. I have India and UK GN bats in my bag, both types are equally enjoyable to use.

Didn't the Vortex have smaller edges and a higher spine?

If only there was someone on here who had a unused 5* SH that weighs around 2lb 10.5oz. ;-) .
