Guess the bat manufacturer
« on: October 26, 2016, 07:47:08 AM »

Bought this lam fairly cheaply from eBay (pretty sure it was form a forumer, been here too long when you can tell for the backgrounds in the photos) mostly to have a go with one and see what they're like. Could tell from the shoulders that it wasn't a TK, but not sure who else makes 'performance lams' with the thin front rather than the big lump on the back. Only other ones I've seen similar on here were made by @Ryan but pretty sure it isn't his work.

Just wondered if anyone could spot where it was made and by who from the photos, can add some of binding handle etc if required. Handle has cork inserts btw.

Not vital to know but always fun to test the forums expertise and I'm curious.

From the background of the photos in this and the thread for a massive B&S looks like it was @JTtaylor145

Makes sense, seller was called something similar. Didn't know the manufacturer when I asked though.

Pretty sure all Bulldog bats come from TK, could be wrong though.

Deffo not one of mine. All the ones I've made have a thin veneer through the shoulders and toe.

Maybe I was just being coy?

The maker was the first one you mentioned @Kulli I asked the bloke I got it from.

The same maker as that enormous B&S.

No biggie for a net bat, but I didn't think it was. It doesn't have the curved front to the shoulders or rubber inserts in the handle, but compared to some on here I've no eagle eye for spotting the manufacturer. Just wondered out of curiosity really as I didn't think too many placed made 'performance laminates'.
