Custom Bat Dissatisfaction postings
« on: June 27, 2016, 09:28:15 PM »

If you have ordered a custom bat from any manufacturer on the forum and it doesn't meet your specs, please take it up with them and give them a chance to respond before opening a "disappointed" topic on the forum. This means that if you email at a weekend, give them a chance to get through to Monday and respond.

We've seen a fair few topics like this recently where people have complained about custom bats without the maker having had a chance to respond. The forum shouldn't be your first point of call if dissatisfied. The batmaker  should. Only if you get no response or an eventual one that you are not satisfied with, should the disagreement be made public.

Thanks.

Spot on. It will take many positive feedback comments for even one additional order but one negative feedback may result in many potential customers putting their orders on hold or going to someone else. The forum should be used only for genuine cases where the bat maker fails to respond within a reasonable time or the resolution proposed is unreasonable (applicable to both parties). Probably there should be a separate section for this type of topics with stricter moderation so that the interests of both seller and buyer are protected.

I do think Tim is spot on and its probably a sensible addition to have a specific section for people to post their said issues. At least that way those of us that are interested in reading about them can go and read and those of us that realise on occasion things do go wrong but its not symptomatic of the majority of suppliers usually transactions can ignore them.

Maybe it could be called: Issues with OLS and on occasion others

:-)
