Something a bit special!
« on: December 14, 2016, 10:27:45 AM »

So as some of you may know we make quite a few trips to see James at Jedi. On one of our previous trips we had a rummage through the clefts and stumbled across some great pieces of wood.

Whilst picking a few up one seemed to stand out as much lighter than most so we asked James to make it up and here is the finished bat.....

Weight - 2.6 3/4
Edges - 38mm
Spine - 63mm
Toe - 23mm

Its amazing what these bat makers can do!

Well..... no interest in a 2.6 38mm edge bat? Its looking more and more like a Christmas treat to myself.

I suppose there are some perks with running a cricket business  :D

Ha, looks lovely but way too light! Could it not have been used to make a monster at 2.10/11, or was this the limit of the cleft size?

I suppose It could have been used to make a 2.10 massive bat but I did request a very light bat when I chose the cleft. We already have some big 2.10 bats in so this was just something that bit different.

Great perk...

I am after a light cleft but with no heartwood and to be honest not a fan of the Jedi stickers. Would lump it at £100 but not £190  :)
Still enjoy your prezzie...

Think you did the right thing.. Very hard to find a bat Uk made that light but still a good size. Pretty sure you would sell it in new year....Especially when indoor nets start and someone feels like smashing all those short pitched deliveries... :D
