My brother is currently in Sydney working as a stonemason while also doing a bit of traveling. He said it was gonna be hot but he's been there a year and a bit now so he'll be used to it, said he's going to the beach....Lucky bugger :D

I forgot my jumper on my cricket tour at the end of April last year and thought I was going to lose a finger to frostbite

Well as has been said it's about 2 degrees here at the moment, for some of us Brits thou it's hard to imagine this heat u less you have been to Oz. I. Was there for a month in 94-95 on the Tuffers 'lend me your brain mate I'm building an idiot' tour and at 8am in the morning it was unbelievably hot already.
It was more like direct sun on you whereas here it's seems it the sun has to get thru loads of ozone/pollution before it actually reaches you diluted.

I don't really know whether the beer in Australia is any good, I do know a cold beer out there on a hot day was the most fabulous thing ever !!!
 :)

There's a lot of truth in what you say re the directness of the sun in oz . We have a hole in the ozone layer , probably a bit less pollution , and we are the brightest country on earth ( no , no .....when i say 'brightest' I'm not refering to i.q ! , I'm refering to luminosity ! ).
