Be interesting to know what is the suggested change @petehosk and @LEACHY48 if you don't mind sharing?

My winter will be spent in the gym trying to get fitter again as I appear to have comfort eaten with my pregnant wife last year and then net some more with new club, hoping to be able to play a lot more than I did this year and want to try and push for the first team if I can which is Herts ECB Prem and would be a step up the ladder for me so a lot of work needed over the winter with both bat and ball.

Yeah sure @Calzehbhoy essentially it's just being more open in your stance to play effectively between mid on and midwicket if you type in Gary palmer batting tips on YouTube he's got an 11 minute video explaining it, essentially it means that your head stops falling over to the off side when the ball moves In and your in a good position to cover the away movement too.

For my bowling I would like to be able to bowl the inswinger (the outswinger is my stock ball).  Maybe also increase my pace but I'm not getting any younger so not sure how worthwhile that will be.

On batting it would just be nice to spend time at the crease. Because I was playing 1s this year I only got to the crease 4 times in the 9 games I played, and 2 of those were not out (in one I didn't face a ball whilst 2 wickets fell).

@Chalkie I wouldn't worry too much about the pace mate, you're more than useful at the pace you already bowl and you run the risk of messing everything up by striving for more.

Work on the inducker or off cutter. I'll sort you out mate!  :)

Oh- and to not be afraid of the ball when batting. #number11

like @petehosk and @LEACHY48 I am a big fan of Gary Palmer.  He totally changed cricket for me.  I went from being absolutely hopeless to being Absolutely hopeless, but believing I am just a little better than Rubbish.
Most coaches are just glorified bowling machine feeders, they put the ball in and tell you if your doing this or that wrong. Being coached by GP is TOTALLY different, he teaches a Completely different way to bat.  It it is not for everyone but I loved it

As for things I need to work on for next season.  It will be how to count to six, and how to stay awake and concentrate for 90 overs.

Personally i just need to work on loosing weight and getting fitter being 20 odd stone does not help in fielding, batting or bowling . If i can cut 4 stone and improve general fitness i think my game would naturally improve slightly. Then look to practice practice practice as much as possible so everything becomes natural.

Things to work on, hmmm

A shed load of weight off for a start, crack on with the kettlebells and try and hit the ground running next season, as opposed to a slow walk/hobble etc

Technique wise, gawd knows

Kit wise, I need loadsa stuff.
