Pads and gloves
« on: February 25, 2017, 09:43:52 PM »

Hi there,
I've got a sponsorship with Gray-Nicolls for the next two years and I plan to order my softs soon. I'm currently thinking of going for legend batting pads and prestige gloves. Before I order my softs I just wanted to ask if anyone else has any recommendations for possible gloves and pads that they like in the range.

I picked up some velocity gloves today, they're lovely!
Mine are only the 550 model so the ones higher in the range are likely even better

@WalkingWicket37 I've looked at the velocity gloves and at first I thought they were a bit garish but after a while i'm starting to like the look of them.

I'd be going for the legend pads as an absolute no brainer. You can then mix and match the gloves around those...

thought I was done with the chase stuff but she knows I was looking at halestorm for a long time.

Everyone goes for Legend pads, they are top notch no doubt but not everyone needs that kind of protection, remember it comes at around 950 gms per pad weight. If you don't face very fast bowling/play on slow pitches mostly and you do a lot of running between wickets, then I find  pads less than 800/750 grams  to be much more helpful in running between wickets, helping bat longer without getting tired much...
