Revolution Black Review
« on: August 09, 2017, 08:53:02 PM »

As someone last week asked for a review of my Revolution Black, I thought I may as well oblige.

I found this one on eBay and thought it was definitely worth a purchase. It arrived having been well oiled which was definitely a bonus and relatively unused by the looks of things. A light sand and a scuff sheet later and it was complete.

Yet to have a proper hit with it but the tap up so far is very good and, as expected with a bat with this shape, the middle is the longest of all my bats, from just above the toe to the bottom edge of the front sticker.

Not bad for 130 notes!

Weight: I think it was 2.10.5 last time I checked, been a while though.
Profile: Full
Edges: c.35mm
Spine: c.60mm
Handle: Semi-Oval
Grains: 9, evenly spaced

Looks like a bargain! Let us know how it fares in nets and matches.

Looks different from the original one shown in the Revolution Black post. Cant show the original pics because of photo bucket.

Edges are slighter bigger on this one, but other than that the shape is very similar.

The original revolution black picture will be slightly diffrent as that was a proto type this shape is exactly the same shape that was sent to Brett Hampton sadly he did not get on with it and opted for another Scorch the Customer he sent it to in Australia loves it

Good bargain, that.
An incredibly high middle. I think this is the front runner in the Highest Middle Challenge that I've just made up.

I was asking about a review! What a bargain going to keep my eyes open on eBay for one! Failing that will definitely be investing in a B&S in the new year!

Update on this stick too - gee wiz it flies! Tried this out in the nets as it is slightly lighter than my usually sticks and I have loved it. Only downside is that I wish it had a slightly more oval handle, but other than that, I can't fault it.

Interesting stuff as to whether it would suit our typical summer weather outdoors - it's the stick I'd like to try out most in a forum batoff / net. Get yourself up to Wakefield on the 1st Nov 😂
