It’s not my main income, but supplements it a lot. And allows me to take a job where I work less hours during the summer and not have to miss games or training.

Yes I’ve played for a lot of clubs, however I’m not one who doesn’t get involved. I am running the u15s and 11s this season as well as assisting with the women’s hard and softball teams the club run on a Sunday.

The club I am now at is run by a ceo of a local building company that work on large scale project, worked on the new a field stand, Spurs stadium, post box in Birmingham etc the bloke who owns the company has grown up playing for the club and makes sure they are able to continue in the future. They’ve infact just built a 5 lane net facility with floodlights on it! It’s run like one of the grade cricket clubs out in aus.

Everyone’s situations are different I know that. All I would say about pricing a is it needs to cover the costs and keep the club running however it shouldn’t be that high it puts people away from playing. Cricket should be accessible to everyone, no matter ability, gender or income level etc here’s hoping we can get some games in this summer!
