Thought i'd share my batting video from Cricket Asylum today. Any advice is welcome!
For a bit of context:
I've been playing cricket for just under 2 years, having never picked up a bat before the age of 19.
Over which time i've averaged about 6 with the bat in the bottom Saturday division of our county, as i'm much more of a bowler.
The first clip in this video is from a few weeks ago, where i only realised upon filming that my hands were so far away from my body that my bat was not coming down anywhere near straight, so today's focus was on trying to correct that.
Things i know i still need to work on:
To stop going on the back foot to balls on a good enough length to drive.
To stop trying to whip anything down the legside.
Stand up taller in my stance to stop falling over as much
Stop defending balls outside off that i can leave alone
Stop hanging my bat at balls outside off
