MCC seemed to handle the lights a lot better than Essex. Some collapse that.

The cricket betting service I follow tipped MCC win (Draw no bet) so I'm not complaining :)

I see Sam Northeast has got himself batting 3, is they hype back on?

On another note, Richard Gleeson seems to be increasingly prominent in representative squads, one to watch if the England team gets stirred up?

a ton for Sam Hain (140*) and crazily a ton for Dom Bess (107) batting at no. 9 as they put on a 172 run partnership together! the MCC rake up a massive 408-8 dec.

Gleeson then with an early wicket before the close.

Essex really in trouble.

Essex got absolutely battered. Lost by an innings. What a game Bess had, after getting a hundred he picks up a 5fer and Gleeson in the wickets again.
