Quick question @Kippax. Do you not use any heat on the stickers before you whip them off or did you just not show it in the video? I know you sanded and buffed but I winced a bit when he tore those off! Do you not risk pulling some strips of wood out along the grains that way?

I did think that myself

But on the video the stickers almost tore like paper anyway and came off easy enough so looked OK. I've always heated them up first before removing. Suppose it would make it easier to sand if the glue wasn't warm and sticky since its not heated

some stickers do need heat. but theses stickers come off easy enough as long as you pull them off with the grain.

@Kippax Thanks for the reply, I’ll be following the channel and waiting to see what you do next. Any chance we could see a Sancta Grail going from tree to the lucky customers hands in the future? Seeing the full process of how you find and select a cleft that gets that grade and then seeing it made for someone’s custom fit would be a treat.

we are going to have some trees in the yard in about 3 weeks so think it would be a great idea to show all the work that goes into starting from a tree to the drying on the cleft
