Bat Recommendations please
« on: April 05, 2018, 08:20:22 AM »

Having a hard time trying to figure the best bat to buy.

Here are some specifications i am after

Semi - Oval Short Handle
Mid to Low sweet spot
Full Profile
40mm Edge
High Spine Running through to the Toe
Thick Toe

Are there stock bats out there that would probably meet these specifications that I can buy off the shelves or Should I just get it custom made ??

Thank you :)

I think hell4leather have a bat in that shape. Although you may want to specify a weight. For what you are asking for it will be a minimum of 2lbs 10 probably more...

There are clearly a number of other sponsors who could help you here.

Why is the edge size important? Are you looking for the biggest bat that will fit through the new gauge?

As big a bat I can get i think.

The bat I use now is 2lbs 10. So 2lbs 10 or 11 would be brilliant.

Is the H4L Hellfire that shape? I have the Warbird as I didn't want the spine running into the toe and it's a nice stick.

But as mentioned I'm sure anyone could make you one to your desired shape, with maybe a slight compromise. I'm not sure edge size is important tbh

Rather than go for an off the shelf mass produced bat why not message one of the forum sponsors you'll get a much better bat suited to your desired specs

Mueleman GN XXX-10 or is it 11.

The handle is oval though but the best bat for money.

What price range did you have in mind?

Perhaps one of the Kookaburra Ghost models would be a good option.
