Nomads CC- wandering clubs
« on: September 14, 2018, 04:46:56 AM »

In a desperate attempt to eek every possible drop out of the 2018 season,I’ve managed to get a game for Nomads CC. https://www.nomadscc.com/

Does anyone know much about them? Does anyone play for a wandering side? Thought it could be fun to play at some different grounds and play social cricket.

Yep, know them pretty well. Netted with them a couple of times and my mate plays for them regularly. Seem like a good bunch of guys at a pretty mixed standard. Was there anything in particular you wanted to know?

Big old club, mostly run by a guy called Michael Bloomberg. I have played against them a number of times.
Being a member of a club like that is good to up the number of possible games you can play in.

Plenty of my Frogs team mates also play for Nomads. Good bunch of blokes all told, haven't played for them but I can't imagine the Frogs playing with people who aren't decent blokes.

Wandering sides are great, play some lovely grounds, great teas generally. Standard can be mixed- at Frogs we have myself, an Ealing 1/2 player and a first class spinner alongside older players who no longer play league cricket but love the game.
