B3 Crown (2017)
« on: May 06, 2018, 01:47:39 PM »

I liked my B3 LE so much that I purchased a Crown immediately after receiving my LE. I waited for a few months for the right willow (grains, look, density) and I eventually decided to go with this one. I let Tom choose the willow for me during LE process and he did a fantastic job. Maybe, I should have let him handle this one too.

LE review here:

Profile: Shan
Weight: 2 lbs 8.5 oz
Edge Size: 38 mm

Though this cost me additional $150-200 (because of the fact this is a crown and I received my LE with 25% discount), it feels no different from my LE. May be, I got lucky with my LE. In case, something were to happen to my LE, I have a replica I can rely on.

Some pictures.

Surely with the crown you are paying for the low density and the fact that you now own absolute perfection as far as the looks of a bat goes. I had a one stripe off @smilley792 which was one of the best performing bats I’ve ever owned, looked nothing like that though!

It’s nice but I really don’t think you can call that a perfect looking bat

Couple of lovely sticks there

Which one do you prefer ?

Is the pressing the same on both bats ?

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

Stunning. Better than the B3 Crown Shan I swapped for and then swapped out (LOL).  But it went really well too (netted it once).

Began to crack through the shoulders eventually but I fear the first owner did most of the damage slogging 6's.
