Have heard precisely nothing since my response pointing out that the crack wasn't visible in the photos.

Going to be asking eBay to step in and sort it first thing tomorrow as that's the earliest I can.

All now under review. I mentioned the forum belief that it was an old model rather than as advertised, and very delicately suggested that the buyer knew about the severe damage despite listing it as no cracks whatsoever.
