I agree it is a tough one and yes we are over the years warranty. The break happened when he played a regular forward defence, strange noise looked down, large cracks running from the spine on both sides. I would understand the wear and tear point if it was a crack through the toe, some delamination, edge falling off etc. But I was wondering if this type of damage is unusual or a manufacturing fault as I haven't seen it happen a lot during my years on this forum (Where we go through bats every two weeks, maybe that is for other reasons though
...) or with my club.
I think I am relying too much on my past experience from the brand, they have dealt and helped me very well in the past with service and products so perhaps I expected too much this time around. Don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting a full replacement, but thought some kind of discount as goodwill given the break would be suitable.
