Has to be done, creams vs whites.
« on: August 29, 2018, 10:24:55 AM »

We're trying to persuade the club to get new kit for next year as we currently only have a short sleeve playing shirt and a hat, no longsleeve, no jumper no other bits and pieces. One of the main debates the whatsapp group is having is whites vs creams so thought id come on here to see if there was a landslide opinion as its not just relevant to whos at the club now but people that could join in the future.

Yes there is a mixed option up there as mixed clothing players with black shoes always seem to get me out...

I think we can all agree that the mix looks ghastly. Even New Balance recognised this and you can see the new Eng jumpers are cream (Although some players are still wearing the white ones)

As for white vs cream, I prefer cream as it looks better with the colour of the pads, but white can look cool.

I am sure there is a fashion person who would explain that white is sooo 2014 and if in doubt go traditional.

The reality is choose the best quality kit you can afford and go with that. This means you are probably going with Adidas or GN or something like that. They are usually cream.

Creams!

We went over to those horrible incredibly white whites a few seasons ago and changed back to cream at the start of this season.

If you're going for creams sort a proper knitted jumper too, they're much better than these modern offerings that are designed to plaster with sponsors logos rather than actually keep you warm!

Everyone in my club except the guy who makes the decision hates these, im fearing we might be going to this!

As long as you dont do the ecb 'we cant match our kit colours' look you're half way there. Pick the best CABLE KNIT (sorry , im still getting over that other thread) jumper , well , seriously  , just pick the best jumper and build the rest of the playing kit from there.

If you are going to get everyone to buy all new kit, then it's not too bad, but if your club only wants shirt/cap and anything else is a bonus, go cream. There is a lot more non-descript cream out there than white.

Personally, I love the look of white, but as it's horrible mixed, then cream is a lot more accessible

Turning up in a mixture should NEVER be considered. ever

Englands kit has been attrocious recently with the mix of colours. Looks village imo
