Gray Nicolls Pre Prepared
« on: November 01, 2018, 10:16:04 PM »

I have just bought a gray nicolls predator, it has an anti scuff sheet fitted and at the back it has a sticker which says “gray nicolls pre prepared”, I have tried to look online to see what is actually included in this service but I could not find anything, does anyone know what gray nicolls actually do to pre prepare their bats and how much knocking in do these bats roughly require?
Thanks for your help.

I’d say another couple of hours and nets 👍

Pre pared does not mean the bat is ready to play when a bat is sold or is stickered  as pre pared all it means  is that a  toe guard  and a protective face sheet as been applied to the bat.

Yes I’m aware of that, although I’m uncertain whether I should apply oil or not as some companies do oil their bats as part of the pre prepared process however gray nicolls has not specified this anywhere.

Thank goodness for the sticker, I'd never know if a toe guard or face sheet had been applied to the bat without it!

All bats would be oiled and polished before going to the retailer/customer.
