Folks, This is not often discussed in books/coaching - How do you set yourself up just before the ball is delivered, in other words, i believe every batsmen is set to look for a specific type of ball and then adjust from there - like Mike Hussey said in his videos that he sets up for the full ball (not sure which type of full - like good length full or half volley type full) and then if short, goes back, DeVilliers said he sets up for the good length ball and adjusts from there if fuller or short, so on.
On my side, i always set up for the half volley/yorker as I was most vulnerable for that earlier on when i started playing but I think that has hindered my game if the ball was shorter, making me delayed on my shot for the shorter balls. Want to know what do you guys follow/what works best for you. Or you don't set up for a specific type of ball at all and just look at ball and react. If I am not looking for any specific type of ball and just watch the ball and react, it didn't work well for me as I was being almost inactive. So interested to know what you folks do and what works/doesn't work. Or if you just watch and react without any specific type of length in mind.
Cheers
