Shoes for Astro/Artifical Wickets
« on: March 11, 2019, 08:54:05 PM »

I'm just after some advice regarding shoes for artificial/astro wickets.

I need a new pair of shoes for this season, in the past I have just used some normal running trainers which appear to have done the job bu I was wondering if specialist cricket rubbers would be a better option.

Therefore my question is this, has anyone who is a bowler used specialist cricket shoes before and if so were they any good, any comments or advice/recommendations would be great.

Thanks in advance, Liam

The New Balance 4020s are pretty good and there are some cheap older models around. You need to go up half a size though.

I got a set of Nike tennis shoes but they didn't have enough grip, so used my NB 4020s, did a good job.

Have the New Balance 4020 older model paid 23.00 Amazon but they are tight fitting if you have a wide foot.

Snap, can usually pick up a pair for around £35 and the sizing is spot on too.

Search over, got myself a pair of these this morning after a great little link by @Psi on the ebay thread

https://www.activinstinct.co.uk/product/white-new-balance-ck4020-mens-cricket-shoes/036963_activinstinctuk/

With student discount they came down to £28.80, bargain!
