Thank you all. I’ve spent much of the last 6 months sifting trough constitutions, ECB and sport England best practice etc as well as attending parish council and trustee meetings to discuss the demands of around 8 indivualds who have no concept of how the real world works, and certainly no idea how to run a sports club.

It was a great relief to be backed by a unanimous trustee decision in August, put the saga behind us and crack on with planning 2019!

I note a few forum members have toured the Stamford area in recent years, if anyone would like a game or needs help finding games nearby please get in touch. We hosted a touring side from Dubai this year and they seemed to enjoy themselves, they are booked in for next year already.

@KettonJake - did you, at any time when things went in your favour, crack a smile (and is there photographic evidence?)

Might take you up on that offer jake!

My Sunday side tours Stamford every year

No game last year unfortunately but the year before had a cracking game at laxton park! Will give you a shout once I’ve spoken to the fixture secretary
