Applying fibretec after oiling. HELP!

Please Help!
I sanded and oiled my bat, and let it dry for 7 days. I try put a fibreglass sheet on my bat and the edges simply won’t stick!
Can someone please help me and tell me what to do?
Also if there is no way no actually get the stickyness back, is there a glue I can apply to actually make it stick?
All help appreciated.

Hairdyer the sheet a bit, usually does the trick. Failing that, superglue!

I usually give it a very light sand (fine sandpaper) - face as well as edges prior to applying scuff. This is the best solution imo (if you apply extra glue, the oil will dissolve it over time).

Agree, if you don’t sand down you could leave for 7 weeks and would have the same issues. 240 grit all over the blade and edges and will be done.

I had same problem in some of my bats... just sand the face and edges with the finest sand paper u have... that will help a lot...

 :o I wouldn't superglue the face sheet. It'll be hell to get off when it needs replacing, and you'll probably cause unnecessary damage to the fibres.

Is a bit of fibreglass tape the best fix if it’s only the edges not sticking?

Had the same problem. It is fixed fine usually by applying fibreglass edge tape to hold it down at the edges. Occasionally a bit of glue as well, but try to avoid. Now I always buy the type of scuff sheet that comes with edge tape already attached. ND make very cheap and effective ones.

I lifted the sheet a bit, sanded it, blew the dust off and heated the sheet. Worked like a charm and stuck perfectly.
