Grade and brand - can you guess
« on: July 04, 2019, 09:29:12 PM »

Evening all. So with the amount of cricket I’m playing reducing I decided to do the decent thing and clear out a load of kit and then buy some more. Picked up these two bats. Can you guess grade and model? Go!!

Well pretty hard to tell, and I'm no expert but...

I would guess the one on the right looks in line with what most companies would call a G2. On the left looks so white as almost to be bleached but I think that's the light. One on the left looks like a traditional rather than a flat press so I'll take a complete stab in the dark at a GM Noir Signature for the left...

No toe, shoulder or handle shots? Makes it pretty hard.

Both are grade-2 bats.

One on the left is an SS. One on the right is a H4L.

That’s a Keeley on the right! Grade 2 I’d say

@Dazz and @velvetsky01 your both right on the brand.

The right hand one is a G2 and the left is G3. Both 2.9 with full profiles and superb performance. A very different initial feel to GM that I have been using for the last 3 years. Picked up both of the these from the The Cricket Boutique. Top level service.

Personal I love how generous the grading is. The G3 is light all sapwood and a tiny blemish, marble effect mark on the edge, 8 grains very straight and evenly spaced.
The G2 has 7 grains with a totally clean face and very straight and even grains. These are perfect for me as I don’t like 10+ multi grain bats. Used the G2 and was going so well with just a single Bola session behind it before I was triggered. Very long middle with the spine into toe and mid placed profile.
