Knocking in question...
« on: August 25, 2019, 12:38:54 AM »

Hey guys...

i began knocking in my new bat Kookaburra Blaze 700...

I have around 1 hour and 15 minutes of knock at face, edges and toe of the bat...

Some of the  grains are already opening up... is this a good sign??? does it means that with this time of knocking bat is ready for throw downs???

I usualy knock my bats for at least 4 hours.. but i have heard that when grains begin opening it means bat is ready...

Will love to hear what do u guys think...

Cheers...

Depends. opening up can be also a sign of damage.  Not belting the #$% out of it too early? did you oil it properly? are you in a hurry? All causes of early bat damage. maybe a really soft press?

^ Is oiling necessary for modern bats?

I did same process as always.. 3 coats of oiling 24 hours apart... and not in a hurry at all...
