Wouldn’t it be the other way around?

Maybe he means that on low bounce tracks, short pitched fast bowling will come through lower,  so you'll be defending deliveries high on the bat that otherwise might fly past your chin.

Or in reality, there will always be balls on whatever track that could cause a problem with very thin shoulders.  Variable bounce, pace and even just your own ability and timing all play a factor.  Great meaty bat, but for me i would need that extra bit higher up for when i get it wrong as would cost a fortune in bats!

I think some of it may just be camera angle to be honest and that it won't be any way near as extreme as it looks on the picture.  I'm sure it will be a beast of a bat for you.
