Old GN collection
« on: April 11, 2020, 10:46:14 AM »

Hi all,

A few pics of GN’s I’ve picked up over the years. These are the bats that really do it for me and bring me back to great memories of my youth.👍
I know I’m not the only one who collects old GN’s on here but I’m always on the lookout for GN bats from around this era.👍

@thebigginge if you have anything kicking around the workshop?😂

Andy.

Come on @Chalkie - you 2 could have a 'GN-off' ;)

Challenge accepted Brucie, but whilst my GN collection is pretty decent, I imagine Andy and others have a bigger overall collection.

This photo was taken about 8 months ago when my wife was away for the weekend, I have acquired around 8 more since then. Some have had quite a bit of use or too much linseed, so would be nice to get some ‘fresher’ ones, plus still need a decent Sabre and one with the offset handle

Truly Exceptional! Did you play with all of them?

Lovely.  I would probably like a scoop 2000, an elite, maybe a giant and another powerspot or 2.

These are both fantastic! I had a Megapower as a teenager and I loved it at the time, properly cherished it. I remember going to a velvet sale at Headingley with my Dad and buying it. Would love to get hold of one.

My favourite bat ever was a Sabre 1000. Scored a load of runs with it, light as a feather, great for cutting but still had confidence to go over the top. It just flew. Unfortunately broke beyond repair in the end but owed me nothing!

I had some stunners around that era, 3 gun sabre 1000’s then I had a millennium which I didn’t like but the best of the lot was a top of the range scimitar, grains on bats back then were so much better. My bats always used to break more then maybe I was just  playing more. But I loved my gn’s

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

I like the Millenium and the Scimitar - anyone know what years they were in vogue?
