Keeley softs - anybody got some?
« on: May 03, 2020, 06:32:34 PM »

Hi Folks,

Hope we're all keeping well.

I'm in the market for some Keeley softs for when we're all back on the field again but searching online seems to bring up so many different types of gloves and pads.

Looking at online pictures and descriptions it seems that the 'Superior' range is the top of the range and assuming the most protective but some of the sponsored pros in the county game seem to be wearing the Worx pads and gloves etc. From looking online there also seems to be a massive mix in results on worx gloves with pittards palms and without, sausage fingers and split fingers.

So does anybody have any experience with them? What are the protection levels like across the range and probably most important is the price difference between the Worx pads and the Superior pads worth spending the extra on?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Cam

The superior pads are exceptional very comfy and and quality protection- the design might not be for all but I like them

The gloves again are excellent tho the pair of superior gloves I had went funny when I batted for a long time and obviously sweated a lot and the pittards went funny but the protection is top notch

I now have the worx 009 gloves with pittards and they are very good. I also have the blue pair but they don’t feel as nice when you wear them as they do feel their price point but I think that’s due to the fact I’ve been spoilt with the other gloves

I have the superior pads and gloves and I am very, very impressed with the quality and the
Fit of both. I have only tried them on though and not used them
So can’t comment on protection but comfort wise and looks they are up there with the best.

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

I must admit I think the looks of the pads are a bit 'marmite', the way the canes run all the way to the bottom of the pad. Personally I am not a fan.

Thanks for your thoughts chaps. I actually quite like the look of them (been a fan of 'plainer' pads for years). I might start off with a pair of the Worx gloves and see how I get on from there.

Seems like the Superior pads are a favourite. I might have to wait for some sales to see if they get nearer the Worx price  :D

thanks everyone.

I've had some Keeley gloves and they were really comfortable, good protection and looked nice. No Pittards but soft leather palm too.
