Not sure how long it’s for, the announcement states West Indies and Pakistan tour which is a bit strange. Takes something to have 3 sponsors in the space of a year

new balance not backing him? surely they would be backing the England opener, would have thought  new balance were paying him more than grays could as well?

its not like he's using an actual NB bat anyway.....

Nothing against young Burns, but he’s not the biggest name and isn’t particularly an eye catching player - also he’s a Test specialist. New Balance probably ‘culling the herd’ at a time when funds are tight. Especially with some of their marquee signings on real big contracts.

I guess/assume a lot of money for sponsorship of pros comes from retail sales? If so, I can understand letting players go if they're nearing the end, or habe ended, contracts. The unknowns regarding playing again and projected revenue suggests to me we may see more of this. Don't they say he has chosen to use GN? If so, suggests he's using them for the summer only and he's not got a contract with anyone

So it is conceivable that the England top 3 will all be using GN - Burns, Sibley, Crawley

Yes if Crawley gets the nod over Denly, although if Roots wife has the baby both Denly and Crawley would play.

Strauss and Cook for ages used GN and the manufacturer would want as much exposure as possible-makes sense.

I know Grays bats are made in different parts of the world but I would like to think Burns,Sibley and Crawley have theirs made in Robertsbridge..

Judging by the shoulders of his bat of say a all known baTmaKer

However his GM's would have been GM's and I'd imagine the GNs are GNs too
