Pod Select 2020
« on: May 01, 2020, 03:19:34 PM »

Ordered this from Talent cricket on the 16th and arrived earlier this week. Cost £216 due to their 20% discount code and made use of the free  knocking in service again.
First Salix bat I've had and first impression are very promising, big fan of the handle shape and thickness, the ping and finishing are as I expected given the reputation of Salix.
Weight is 2lb 8.2oz and the pick up is lovely.

Salix do make fantastic bats. Despite various others coming and going in my kit bag, my Salix remains my number 1 bat. I perhaps ought to think bout getting another, particularly given that sort of price- fantastic value.

The edges look a decent size, which I don't normally associate with Salix.

Enjoy,

David

Glorious
You have some serious willow in your collection there.

Always think with Salix you get quality and a really well made bat so for the lower end of the market or budget bat, they are up there with the best, not sure how much I will be able to play this year(neither is anyone else!) but I've got a GM signature barely used very very cheap from EBay in January.

Grains are the same and it's the same white wood, sapwood I believe which I have always tried to get.

So on the lower end price wise I think you have done really well, handles as you say vitally important in shape and quality .

A good buy

Loved my Salix Pod I had a few years ago, great bats. Really like the new stickers, modern but still classy.

Lovely bat and looks a decent size as well. Performance and finishing is second to none same care and attention to details on a select or a finite

Marginally better when tapping up with an old ball, Just a slightly nicer sound
