Best Cricket Store - Genuine GM Stockist?
« on: December 19, 2020, 11:56:27 AM »

Hi,

First time poster, long time lurker.

I'm looking at purchasing a GM Player's Edition from Best Cricket Store in the US as they had a good selection of Player Edition bats compared to the UK.

I have tried to find if Best Cricket Store are a genuine GM dealer without luck.

Is anyone able to confirm if the bats they sell are the real deal? From everything I can see from the photos, they look legit but was just seeking confirmation.

Thanks in advance.

He is OKish/

I purchased a bat from him and obviously he shipped me a different one from the one shown in the pics.
I had the evidence so he didn’t have much to argue against. He offered a $50 refund which I took and decided not to do anymore business with him.

He hardly ever tells the exact weight of the bat and often has a dodgy sale pitch. I just don’t like the way he subtly thinks that we are all novice buyers.

Some people did have a good experience so perhaps it’s a bit of hit or a  miss.

These days he keeps on screaming about “THE ACTUAL BATS FROM THE SAME LOT THAT WAS MADE FOR ROHIT SHARMA, AND DHAWAN AND KOHLI AND K L Rahul ....... which is all BS!

Customized bats made for those Intl players and the kind of willow grade reserved for them can never be available in the quantities to be produced and sold commercially.

He was once selling an “Actual bat of K L Rahul” or someone . I looked at the bat (packed in cellophane) and noticed that it had a fully round toe.
I grabbed a photo of K L Rahul playing in a latest IPL game and asked him that his actual bat seem to have square toe - so how come you are selling his “personal lot bat” for $600 that does not even look like in the same shape that he is playing with?

He got all mad and offended and pvt messaged me with a warning that I will be blocked if I continued with these analysis.
IMO, he is somewhat of a crook.

If you decide to buy a bat from him, ask him to verify the weight in grams by placing it on a scale and send you the pic.

ive bought a couple of bats off him. one was a GM Markram Player edition and the other a SS Pooran Players bat

The GM players editon was 550 usd and im in australia so it worked out to be pretty cheap way to get a players edition, only about $750 aud. i was a bit skeptical but when the bat came i was very happy and ive bought another for a team mate and he was also stoked

With the pooran i wanted a Pollard but he said the pooran was better and again when i got my hands on it i was very happy its a monster bat

i agree he goes hard on talking up the bats but ive had a pretty good experience with him

Their Facebook live videos are a treat to watch  :D

Thats if you love a sales pitch and the fact that every bat theyr review is simply the best and pings like mad (big lol)

But hey, they got to make a living. As do all Sales People

I have bought from them few times especially during their 10 years anniversary sale. I was very pleased with what I received.

There might be a slightly different sales culture here than in the UK, too.

He is an authorized retailer for all the top brands from across the world.
Yes, every bat he reviews is one of the best in the world and pings like crazy.  ;)
So far had a good experience as I ask for weight and pictures in advance.
