I use long blade and have done for years

Not sure where this not great bat comes from as both mine 2lb9 naked 38-40mm edges and round full back so pretty big at decent weight

Both from H4l

I find helps me stand more upright and more balanced

Issue I have found while looking is some makers use the more dense bats for long blades so don’t come across impressive as they save best bats for normal ones to make look more impressive

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.

Think you've answered your own question there 😅 I've seen a couple of photos of H4L LB bats and have to say they did look a pretty generous size.
