No i dont think so. We really need to becareful to not destroy the classic game of cricket. On the test match today there was talk about Day/Night Test Matches! W.G. would be turning in his grave.

I don't think this should be played in any place bar india.  all other nations are too small. and other western nations play winter/summer sports such as rugby league and soccer. and the crowds would be small to cater for the money being invested by companies to get good revenue out of it.

Exactly Sambo - The indians love cricket so they all travel to see the games. Some of us English think cricket is stupid so we would have no chance of filling up all the stadiums!  :D

IMO 20/20 has become too batsman orientated its too hard for bowlers to get wickets what with a small leg side boundary.
Maybe they could introduce a rule allowing the captain to choose one bowler to allow one bowler to bowl 6 overs?

There should not be an ecl as it would just be a copy of the ipl and the icl. Also English cricketer's play enough cricket without another competition.

one place i besides india i reckon we could get it up would be america. i mean think about it, if we can get them into 20/20 it would lead to other things. and someone might actually challenge australia for once :)

I think if the IPL became a more worldwide competition maybe find a way of including different countries, it could become huge.
