Doesn’t the Indian range have a red Gray Nicolls stamp?

Think the red stamp means made for the Indian market? Possible I've got that completely wrong tho.

Red stamping is the Indian range, yes.

This must have been the one I had half an eye on in the Sports Bay Warehouse eBay - good pick up! I was wanting an Ultimate Power for some time - wish I did pull the trigger, or at least get one of the stock shaped ones. This one may very well have been made in Robertsbridge - definitely not an Indian market one as the stamps are black.

Square toes or flat faces just don't sit well with me in any retro range full stop. 😂 I do feel they should be at least somewhat faithful to the old designs...

The only thing retro about most ‘retro’ releases is the names and stickers.

The bat was indeed sourced from Sports-Bay-Clearance on ebay in the UK which is Gray-Nicolls themselves. I had tracked it for many months and the price dipped again just before Christmas because of an ebay offer. I was advised by the seller that these were originally stock for their players to select from but are above average weight and pressed a bit harder than usual for these players hence spare and offered for sale. I had enquired because the Ultimate Original was not commercially available as a Pro Performance. I took the bat on its own merits rather than because of this information, however, I am very pleased with it and is better than I expected from the photos they had posted of it on ebay. A G-N bat cover and bat face cover were included, too.

Edge size is 38mm and very little concaving. Yes, it has a square toe.
