Mark Wood
« on: February 04, 2025, 06:37:57 PM »

Just finished watching T20 series with India - Mark Wood is bowling proper rockets at 150+KPH
I observed him falling atleast 1-2 times per over.  Did anyone else noted that too ?
I cringe every time watching him tip over - probably getting bruised all over.
Any thoughts/theories on different surfaces in India where his spikes are not gripping or he is seen normally falling in English conditions too?

He's been doing that for several years, nothing new so most likely something to do with his actions/technique rather than shoes/pitches.

It happens when he tried to bowl yorkers primarily, because his knee brace is quite stiff so his shoulder and therefore upper body weight come over his centre of gravity.
