Angled Toes
« on: February 26, 2011, 09:26:41 PM »

Went into my local cricket shop yesterday and noticed that the redbacks all had angled toes. what are the advantages to doing this. also i think Gary may have tweaked with the shape of the allegiance, or maybe my eyes are going funny on me.

its something they do up a millichamp and hall too where i believe gary worked for a while or maybe learnt his trade there early on? its to reduce the effect when tapping the bat down on the floor i think! sorry if i am wrong!

I'm not sure with regards to Redback. If you look at the profile pictures of the bats on their website - all have angled toes.

Nah i've never worked at M&H or learnt anything directly from them

Anyway, yea its to reduce 'crease tapping damage'
